Yes indeed , we can see many young musicians promoted or given a chance to sing in this december. Regarding TMK decision of not singing in marghazhi is something where any musician should not even think. Great masters like Balamurali , nedunuri , R.K.Shrikantan , Ramani and many more who would have been involved in the marghazi atleast for the last 40 years , still participates to honor the carnatic music tradition. TMK has just entered in to the circle of popularity and in the senior musician category. He Still have lots of things to prove to the music world.

I request the carnatic music fans not to fall for these stunts . We have TNS , TVS , Sanjay , Vijay shiva , Hyderabad brothers , malladi brothers , O.S.Thygarajan , Santhanagopalan , Aruna , Sudha raghunathan , Sowmya and many more. Let's listen to these great musicians and enjoy the december festival.

Let's encourage young musicians , but please do not encourage TMK which may create an impact to the next generation that tradition and culture can be altered as they wish. So one day many musicians will say that December Season should be changed to May / June beacuse we are all missing venpongal and Thayirsadham from perumal kovil as karunanidhi did for tamil new year.

Enjoy and Encourage the right music and musician

Rishi

Many prominent artistes have cut down this year on their sabha performances, but T M Krishna has gone one step further not to sing during this season...he is just going to relax and have fun instead of sabha hopping....a very nice interview in Times...I think by TM.
