Flute Shashank

Violin Akkarai Subbulakshmi

Mridangam T.V.Gopalakrishnan

Ten years in the field, young shashank gracefully acknowledged the invitation of parthasarathy sabha in its 110 years of celebration, beginning his delightful concert. What impressed me most was his envious interspersing flute with violin during alapanas, and the percussion's during kriti and the perfect co-ordination of all accompanist. The audience was inspired, mesmerized, and transported to the realms of bliss by the eloquent recital of flute,Especially his playing of melody at the fag end,The tonal rumbling of mridangam from the expert,Sri T V Gopalakrishnan thrilled the audience. In the dialogue of Thanam,Akkarai Subhulakshmi the nimble violinist challenged the flute with dramatic sounds of pleasing notes. Akkarai Subbulakshmi, in my opinion, even surpassed the delicious aural notes of the flautist,On the whole,it was a memorable team work
